Member Information

Our monthly meetings are open to anyone who would like to attend and learn more about the Coalition.  Any person or organization may also join our mailing list.  To do so, contact [email protected], provide your name, organization and email address and ask to be added to the email list. 


Please join our Coalition and enjoy the many benefits of being part of a united groups working to support our most vulnerable neighbors. Membership is open to Non Profit Organizations, Businesses, Faith Communities, Neighborhood Organizations, Individuals and Families, City, County, or other local government agencies, and any Service Providers. Members Only Benefits:
  • Member organizations may use the Coalition logo on its website and promotional materials to communicate the partnership and mutual support. 

  • Only member organizations in good standing can nominate client and community honorees at the annual Celebrating Success Breakfast

  • Only member organizations in good standing are eligible to honor staff members at our annual Holiday Party and Staff Tribute event in December.

  • Some special events are restricted to members only, such as the upcomng "Meet the Funders" event in 2026
Service Coordination and Mutual Support:
  • The Coalition facilitates communication and collaboration among our member's decision makers as well as their line staff  to avoid the duplication of services, facilitate a continuum of care, and efficiently share common resources.

  • Connections between agency, faith, and government members foster unique collaborations, volunteerism, and financial support. Our Faith Committee also organizes events to facilitate this exchange. 
Public Awareness and Advocacy:

  • WC has a well-known and well-respected voice in the community . We educate the public about issues around hunger, health, and homelessness, to inspire people to be volunteers and advocates for social service agencies and their clients.​

  • We recommend members to serve on panels, participate in community meetings, and represent the Coalition and its members at listening sessions.

  • As the largest and oldest Coalition in Los Angeles County working on these issues, the Westside Coalition is a respected leader in advocacy that affects public policy.  Together we can make a difference!
Other Benefits of Membership:

  • Members benefit from our expansive mailing list to publicize their organization’s events, news, job postings, and other communications via submissions to our bi-weekly email newsletter.
 
  • Leaders from member organizations are eligible for nomination to serve on our Board of Directors. 
 
  • Members elect the WSHC Board and weigh in on the Coalition’s business operations.
